Obituary for Betty L. Kerwood

Betty L. Kerwood, 77, of Robson, West Virginia entered her eternal rest after a long illness on Sunday, May 17th, 2020 surrounded by her family at home. She was born on June 08th, 1942 to the late Juanita and Henry Ford.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Kerwood, both of her parents, Brothers, Billy K. Ford, James “Jimmy” Ford and Robert Ford Sr., along with several other special family members of both the Ford & Kerwood families.

Surviving are her Sisters: Brenda Kerwood of Oak Hill, WV; Nova Lowery of Robson, WV, Ronda Keller of Montgomery, WV; Fonda Washington (Trinity) of Las Vegas, NV and one Brother, Bruce Ford of Kimberly, WV.

Betty lived with her sister Nova and shared a canine companion, Chase. We would like to say thank you to all of our family for being there with us through this difficult time. Betty did not have children of her own, but considered all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews her “babies”. We will all miss her spunky attitude!

Betty’s wishes were to be donated to science, therefore, there will not be a service at this time. However, the family will hold a Celebration of Life Dinner at a later time, due to COVID-19. The family would like to thank Sonja of Kanawha Hospice Care for her gentle and compassionate care throughout her last days. A very special thank you to West Virginia University Osteopathic Medicine School for fulfilling her wish to be donated to science. We would also like to thank Jerry O’Dell for facilitating our needs during this time.
