Obituary for Carmelita "Connie" Alexander



Carmelita “Connie” Alexander, 78 of Montgomery, West Virginia passed from this life into eternal life on Thursday, March 18, 2021. She was a graduate of Montgomery High School in Montgomery, WV and went on to work as a secretary for several years at WVUIT -and then later in the medical field as a CNA up until the time of her retirement. She enjoyed caring for her patients so much and treated them like family.

She was born on November 9, 1942 in Montgomery, West Virginia to the late Edward and Rebecca Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her precious sister and brother -Cathy Roberts Carroll and Andrew Roberts. Connie is survived by her children Jeffrey Alexander of Montgomery and Cynthia Alexander Evans of London; brother Joe Roberts of Beckley; grandchildren Nicholas Alexander, Zachary Evans, Mak Evans, Ronica Evans and Kenzi Evans; niece Pamela Cummings; nephews – Timothy Carroll, Joshua Roberts, Joseph Roberts II and Adam Roberts.

Connie was a great friend, loving mother, proud grandmother, and a loving aunt. She was very social and never knew a stranger. Some of her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and especially quilting. She will be greatly missed by her family, who all adored her.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 22 with visitation at 12:30pm and service immediately following at 1:30pm at O’Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery, WV. O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
