Obituary for Cathy Lynn Hopkins (Ward)
Cathy Ward Hopkins, age 63, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 7, 2022.
Cathy earned her GED from Montgomery High School and studied psychology at WV Tech. Cathy was an active member of the Oakland Church of God women’s and youth ministries. Cathy was a caretaker for Dr. Clinton Stallard.
Cathy is the daughter of James and Daisy Ward. She is survived by David Hopkins of Powellton, Children; Chelsie Cottrell of Montgomery, Chase Hopkins of Montgomery, granddaughter; Kristen Cottrell, great-grandsons; Dylan Cottrell, Declan Cooper, sister; Joyce Rouse of Charleston, brother; Roger Ward of Roanoke, Va.
Cathy will be missed by all the children she helped raise and was known as “Mom” by so many in the community. Her door was always open to anyone who needed a meal or smile and especially a hug.
Service will be at 1PM on Monday, March 14, 2022, at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Pastor Todd Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park in London. Visitation will be held from 11AM until time of service at the funeral home on Monday. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
