Condolence: My deepest condolences to the family. I had Coach Dotson for several classes at Montgomery High. He was a wonderful teacher and a very nice person. I always remember him bringing his guitar to class for a little entertainment.

Condolence: Coach Charlie Bob was one of the finest men I ever had the pleasure to know. He was the coach of the Montgomery Swim Team of which I had the pleasure of being a member of for five years; only wish it had been longer. My parents thought very highly of him and he could always make my mom laugh. He had a beautiful smile and gave great coaching advice. Condolences to his family in their time of grief.

Condolence: Rest in Peace, Old Friend. The Montgomery Greyhounds lost a good man, coach, and a good person. I shall never forget our days in sports, from kids playing basketball in the mud, rain and snow, to coaching sports, from competitive teams together, and always remaining friends. God be with your family in their sad times. Coach Don Arthur

Condolence: So sorry for your loss. Coach was a very thoughtful teacher. He was so patient with all of us. He made sure that we understood what he was teaching and that we would be ready for exams. It was so good to see him at our class reunion, Class of 1964.

It is so nice to read the wonderful things that so many former students, colleagues, athletes, coaches and his many friends have said about about Charlie. He certainly has left his mark for those he leaves behind to follow. My condolences to Charlie's family and his many friends. May he RIP.

Condolence: My MHS Class of 1964 initiated Coach Dotson his first year of teaching. A wonderful guy who made Science Class fun/interesting. He'd sometimes bring his guitar and sing for us - "I Got My Education Out Behind The Barn" and "I sell the morning paper, Sir, my name is Jimmy Brown", along with other old Country songs. He was loved by the students, teachers, Mr. Bragg, especially the football guys. He had nicknames for each of them. I was blessed to see him and talk with him on the phone a few times over the years and I always sang one of the songs to him and got a good laugh. My dad enjoyed teaching "Charlie Bob" in Biology Class, later they were colleagues, had fun hunting and playing music together. Vickie and Family, I'm sad for your tremendous loss and please know you are not grieving alone. May happy memories bring many smiles. Love, Hugs, Prayers
