I remember!

My dear Mrs. Boyer,

Danny and were drafted into the Army on the same day.  Ilived in Dunbar at the time and we were sent to Fort Knox for basic training.  We endured 12 weeks of basic combat training together and then I lost track of him.  Seeing his photo brought back so many memories.

He was a good friend then and I suspect he kept his generosity and friendly demeanor all of his life.

 

The world is a poorer place today without him.
