David Ferguson Beal, 79 of Smithers, WV passed away peacefully at Hubbard Hospice House on January 29, 2023.
He was born March 20, 1943 in Corry, PA to William and Latroy Rhynard Beal.
He is a graduate Holy Family Catholic School, Richwood High School and West Virginia Institute of Technology College of Civil Engineering. He was a Registered Professional Civil/Structural Engineer. He retired in 2011 from the State Of WV Department of Environmental Protection.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Cipriani Beal, daughter Erin Beal of Smithers, granddaughter Gianna Grace Shawkey of Smithers, Brother Mike (Pat) Beal of Richmond VA, sister Katie (Gary) Hewitt of Richwood WV and 6 nieces and nephews.
Dave loved playing golf, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He was a faithful member of Saint Anthony’s Shrine in Boomer WV.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
The family would like to thank Montgomery General Hospital, Montgomery Rehab and Nursing, Thomas Memorial Hospital and Hubbard Hospice House for their excellent care over the past months.
