Doris Jean Edelman of Cannelton passed away peacefully on February 25, 2023, at Montgomery General. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family. She was born August 7, 1931, in Boomer, West Virginia to John E and Margaret K Stevens. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her siblings, Sonny, James, and Phyllis and by her children Roger, and Philip. She is survived by her siblings Betty Bailey, Tom Stevens, Peggy Fagan, and Bill Stevens. Her children David and Charlotte Maner, Linda and Steve Morrison, William and Cathryn Maner, Beth and Brett Griffith, Mark and Ladonna Maner, Lora and Dirk Darmohray. Her stepdaughters Jean and Larry Brown, Susan and Don Pugh, Mary and Bo Perdue. Also, her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She retired from Hobet mining after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. She had a great sense of humor and was always full of life. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was always a steward of the environment who appreciated nature's beauty and wanted to protect it.
