Obituary for Garrett Douglas Kessler
Garrett Douglas Kessler, 79, of Waynesboro, VA, passed away on November 23, 2022, surrounded by family. Garrett "Doug" was born on December 18, 1942, to Woodrow Wilson Kessler and Rosa Lea
Kessler in Cannelton, WV.
After graduating from East Bank High School Doug worked for
AT&T for his entire professional career before retiring and donating his time to the volunteer fire department in Ashburn, VA. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, coaching little league soccer and square dancing.
Doug was predeceased by his father Woodrow, his mother Rosa Lea and his brother Roger.
He is survived by his son Wesley, his son Joseph, Joseph's wife Lydian and Doug's four grandchildren Ashleigh, Logan, Breanna and Tavin.
Services will be held at O'Dell Funeral Home on December 5, 2022, at 1pm with Elder James Dempsey officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park in London. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
