Obituary for Leonard Westley Washington
Better known as “Poochie” 60 of Montgomery WV passed away December 10, 2022, at Hubbard House West after a short illness. Poochie was born September 4, 1962, in Montgomery, WV to the late Bernice Washington and Charles Chambers.
He was a graduate of Valley High School and attended WVIT. He loved his family, sports, and making others smile. Poochie is also preceded in death by his son Andrea Coping and grandson Sebastien Coping.
Poochie is survived by his children Celeta Coping, Toya Coping, Chelsea Hitch, and Halea Hitch. Grand-children Braeden Hitch, Izabella Coping, Brezlyn Hitch, Danayshia Coping, and Jalil Johnson. Also left to mourn a sister Suzanne Washington-Smith (Michael), a brother Michael Washington (Tricia), an Uncle Lawrence Washington (Colleen), and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Fellowship of Love 312 4 th Avenue Montgomery WV. Visitation will begin at 2 pm followed by the Word with Rev. Dr. Michael Smith, Sr. officiating. The family will gather afterward for a private reflection.
