Obituary for Maxwell Harry "Max" Hill Jr.
Maxwell Harry Hill, Jr. 69 of Mount Carbon WV passed away May 13,2023 after a short battle with cancer.
Maxwell was born on March 31, 1954, in Montgomery WV. He was a 1972 graduate of Montgomery High School in Montgomery WV. Maxwell spent his 50-year career at Alloy Plant (Elkem Metals) in Alloy WV as an upstanding union member and board member of Alloy Federal Credit Union.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Maxwell and Katherine Ann Hill and daughter Misty Hill Rucker. Leaving behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years Debbie and sons Trey (Kathryn) of Mount Carbon, Jason (Lindsey) or Pinch, Justin (Stephanie) or Morgantown, 10 grandchildren and 5 loving sisters Karen Lawson of Morgantown, Dr Makie Ann Mason (Okey) of Spring Texas, Jerri Lively (Dave) of Bristol VA, Sherri Hill of Indiana, and Michelle Hill of Anniston Alabama.
Services will be held at Hughes Creek Community Church, Hugheston, WV. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 18, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will be on Friday May 19, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Officiating Maxwell’s remembrance is Pastor Gary H. Tucker of the Hughes Creek Community Church. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow. O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery is in charge of arrangements.
