Nancy Elizabeth Lockhart Sommers Vanderslice Massey, 74, of Montgomery, formerly of Columbus Georgia went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by grandson, Brent Edward Grey; her parents, Lewis and Minnie O. Pollard Lockhart; brother, Dovard L Lockhart; Sisters, Edna Grier, Mary Blevins and Catherine Kelley.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Standard. She was a former Toll Collector at Charleston Town Center, Charleston and worked at Piggly Wiggly in Columbus GA.

She is survived by her children, Bob Vanderslice (Cindy Girmont), Beverly Grey (Ross Raymond) and Cecil Massey (Tracy); seven grandchildren, Stacey, Eric, Bobbi, Braden, Shon, Cheyenne, Chance; great grandson, Nehemiah; and a great number of nieces and nephews that she loved and had so much fun with through the years; both in Georgia and West Virginia.
"Fancy Pants" as we called her was so full of laughter and fun...she couldn't get mad for finding humor in everything said! This is one dance and laugh that will truly leave a smile in our hearts! We love you Mammy! And the Grandkids love their G-Momma!

Service will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Pastor Gary Tincher officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Our sincerest thanks to everyone at Montgomery General Elderly Care, for their care of Momma and their devotion to their family of patients. We love you all! Thanks also to Dr Atassi and staff for your years of attention! God bless!
