Obituary for Rita Ballard Workman
Rita Ballard Workman of Falls View passed away on February 14, 2022 after an extended illness. She was born on July 9, 1943 to Mollie and William Ballard of Cannelton. In addition to her parents she was
preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters and she was a member of Carbondale Baptist Church.
Surviving: husband Christopher Workman and son and the love of her life Christopher Todd; sisters
Phyllis Persinger and Sue (Richard) Cantley; brothers Donald (Bethel) Ballard and Gary Ballard. The
family is thankful for her neighbor and caregiver Mariam Fisher.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Montgomery Memorial Park,
London with Rev. Jerry Brown and Rev. Mason Ballard officiating. Expressions of sympathy can be sent
