Obituary for Rickie Allen "Cabbage" Harper

Rickie Allen “Cabbage” Harper age 51 of Mt. Carbon died at home Monday, July 11, 2011. He precedes in death his mother Jean Stewart; father James “Jim Bob” Harper and grandson Landon Lukk Cavender
He leaves behind his wife of 20 years Peggy S. Harper; son Nicholas Allen Harper of Charlotte, NC; daughter and son-in-law Tina and Jonathan Cavender of Mt. Carbon; daughter Heather Rena Harper of Montgomery Heights; granddaughter Alexxis Faith Cavender; brothers Delmer Harper his wife and Terri of West Liberty, KY and James Harper of Chicago, Ill; sisters Alica Harrper of Waterfort, Mich., and Karen Gevedon and her husband Marty of West Liberty, KY and a host of extended family and friends.
He was a loving and caring husband and father and friend. May he rest in peace and forever be in our hearts.
He was a coal miner for 21 years and was a operator for Alpha Mining at Cannelton.
Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with the Rev. William Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
