Obituary for Emily Lucille "Em" Tompa

Emily Lucille Click Tompa, or "Em", age 72 of Smithers, West Virginia, died September 16, 2017. She was born February 4, 1945 in Marting. She was the daughter of the late James Miller "Jack" and Hazel Maynus Click. She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings Fostina Click, Bob Click, and Martha Click.

Em was a passionate woman who cared very much about the people around her. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Beverly Health Care Center in Glasgow, and was passionate about the art of crocheting so she could give afghans, baby outfits, and holiday stockings to her family and friends. She also worked for various restaurants and took on numerous jobs with neighbors and local businesses to provide for her family whom she very much loved.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Tompa of Smithers, and her two sons, Dr. Steven Mark Tompa of Norfolk, Virginia, and Anthony Marcus "Tony" Tompa of Smithers, who both share her passion for helping those around them. She very much loved her family, especially her surviving siblings Patsy "Sis" Lanham of Boomer, William "Ken" Click and his wife Sue, of Warren, Ohio, Fred Clifford Click and his wife Debbie, of Barb oursville, Lawrence Curtis "Curtie" Click and his wife Ellen, of Gauley Bridge. She also cherished her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, September 22, at O'Dell Funeral Home, located in Montgomery. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Jon Dillion officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park in London.
