Obituary for Adam Douglas Morton
Adam Douglas Morton age 38 of Charleston was taken too soon on March 29, 2017. He was born November 17, 1978 in Charleston and is the son of Karen Hopkins Morton of Rand.
He was a drummer since childhood and he had attended God's Bible School in Cincinnati, OH. He also attended the Lens Creek Church of the Nazarene and the Rand First Church of the Nazerene. Adam was a great and loving son, brother and father and on Saturday March 25, 2017, he rededicated his life to Jesus. Adam loved life and was a happy and energetic person.
Surviving: wife Tracy Shelnutt-Morton; children Laken Phoenix Morton and Lyra Raven Morton; mother Karen Hopkins Morton of Rand; brother Benny Morton and his wife Kristin and their children Aydin, Ethan and Thaddeus "Teddy" of South Charleston.
Service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Rand First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Gordon Killion Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens at Cross Lanes. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday at the church. O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery is in charge of arrangements and expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
