Alan Dale Swiger 47 of Hugheston died June 2, 2013. He was born July 6, 1965 in Sistersville WV and was the son of the late Mary L. Payton Swiger. He was also preceded in death by his sister Brenda L. Swiger.

He was the Supervisor of Campus Services at West Virginia Institute of Technology. He was also a veteran of the the Untied States Navy.

Surviving: wife Joy Johnson Swiger; son Douglas A,Swiger of Hugheston; daughter Sarah R. Swiger of Hugheston and Cheyenne Swiger of VA; Sisters Suzetta and husband Victor Shepard, Kathryn and husband Roderick Nutty and Lisa Grammatas; 7 nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews.

Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Jim Robinson officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
