Alice Ann Otero Breeding, 78, of Gallagher died February 24,
2024, surrounded by her children and family.
She was known as Nanny to her grandchildren, great
grandchildren, and many others.
She was co-owner of Alice’s Grocery, and B&F Market, and
retired from Bob Evans Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by Clyde Breeding her husband of 57
years, son-in-law George Fleming and honorary daughter Teresa
Slack Elswick
Siblings Stella Hernandez, Daniel Otero, Jessie Otero, Ralph
Otero, and Gabriel Otero. In laws Stewart and Emily Breeding.
She is survived by her children, Emily King (Carl), Lisa Breeding
(Walt), J.P. Breeding (Phyllis), J.B. Breeding (Lara), honorary son
Chris Elswick
Grandchildren Preston King, Michael Fleming (Kayla), John Smith
(Crystal), Anthony Smith (Alisha), Logan Breeding (Kaysie),
Jackson Breeding (Catie), September Moore (Kirk), Damien Cook
(Meagan), Emily Breeding (Charlie), John Poppy Breeding,
Andrew Breeding (Rosa), Simon Breeding, Ryan Breeding, Zach
Elswick (Megan), Josh Elswick (Kayla), Christian Eddy, Todd
Dooley, and Brittany Dooley. Great grandchildren Alaina, Weslee
Smith, Genesis Fleming Adkins, Elijah and Everley Smith, Tripp
Watson and great granddaughter due (May, 2024), Waylon
Cooper, great grandson due (May, 2024). Special niece and
nephew Donna and David Puffenbarger, siblings Tony Otero,

Service will be held at 3pm at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery
on Friday, March 1, 2024, with Rev. Daniel Saylor officiating.
Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens in
Glasgow. Visitation will be held from 2pm until the time of the
service at the funeral home. O’Dell Funeral Home is in charge of
