Alma Jean Manley age 76 of Deep Water died May 1, 2015. She was born March 6, 1939 in Deep Water and was the daughter of the late William Lang and Anna Robinson Lang Darby. She was also preceded in death by her husband Sanford Manley and her son-in-law Doug Valentine.

She was a retired teacher's aid from the Fayette County Board of Education.

Surviving: children Diane Valentine of Cannelton, Sharon Braenovich and her husband Steve of Robson; Brenda Valentine and her husband Bobby of Kanawha Falls, Teresa Wyant and her husband Jimmy of Elkview, Donna Portz and her husband Bob of Rollins, Wyoming, Carol Phifer and her husband Ken of Charleston and Sanford Manley Jr. and his wife Lisa of Oak Hill; 15 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her family wishes to thank the many caregivers and ambulance crews for their loving care and also a special thanks to the family of Jason Horne for the donation of his liver that Alma received over 4 years ago.

Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Pastor David Bounds officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
