Alonzo “Peanny” Stabagi age 85 of Smithers died November 18, 2009 in Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. He was born August 4, 1924 and was the son of the late Nunizo and Gracia Bisle Stabagi.
He was retired from Elkem Metals in Alloy and was a member of the St. Anthony-Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish in Boomer and Montgomery. He loved hunting.
Surviving: sister Mary Boyd of Smithers; daughter Jean and her husband Gerry “Don” Workman of Charleston; grand-daughter Andrea Kroger and her husband Chris of Morgantown; great-grandchildren Madison Marie and Jackson William Kroger; several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Anthony Shrine Catholic Church at Boomer with Fr. John Rice as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call on Friday from 6 until 8 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com.
