Obituary for Amanda Gail "Amy" Tabit

Amanda Gail "Amy" Tabit age 37 of Boomer went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at home after a short illness. She was born June 13, 1978 in Charleston and was the daughter of the late Rev. Frank Goode and the late Charlotte Faye Whittington Goode.

Amy graduated from Valley High School in 1996 and she dedicated herself to care for her mom and son. Even with her own illness she always had a smile and warm heart for everyone she met.

Surviving is her husband of 18 years Chris Tabit and her son Christopher "Michael" Tabit II Boomer; sister Penny Harmon and her husband Timothy of Myrtle Beach, SC, Freeda Adkins of East Liverpool, Ohio, Alma Paden of Myrtle Beach, SC and Barbara Mayes of Rockingham, NC; brothers Denzil Goode of Jacksonville Beach, FL and Carroll Goode Salem, OH.

Service will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Oakland Church of God in Smithers with Pastor Bob Vanfossen officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Friends may call for 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church on Monday and also one hour prior to service at the church.
