Arthur Lee Stewart age 63 of Smithers died December 18, 2011. He was born February 6, 1948 at Bickmore, Clay County and was the son of the late Loring and Eva Catron Stewart.
He was a retired coal miner from Central Appalachian Coal Company and he was an US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Gallagher Baptist Church.
Surviving: wife Sandra Pyatt Stewart; children Christina Ramsey and her husband Paul of Pond Gap, Stacey Spencer and her husband Bradley of Cannelton and Felicia Painter and her husband Shawn of Jodie; sisters Margaret Lucas of Salisbury, NC, Arbutus Nottingham and her husband Kenny of Bickmore and Sharon Ramsey and her husband Glen of Bickmore; brothers Harold Stewart and his wife Sue of Montgomery Heights; grandchildren Chesney Stewart, Caleb Spencer, Conner Spencer, Addyson Ramsey and Hayden Ramsey; Several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Sunset Cemetery at Bickmore with Rev. Paul Ramsey Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery with military honors.
