Bertha L. Wallace, 82 of Kimberly, WV went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Meredith White, Sr. and Emma Kemp White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Dennis K. Wallace, sisters Lola Saunders and Emma Elizabeth Minor, and brother Meredith White, Jr.
Bertha was the owner of Bertha's Beauty Shop were she was a beautician for many years. She was also the owner of Wallace Amusement Arcade and the Wallace Market.
Bertha was a member of Eagle Central Baptist Church, were she was the church clerk and former Sunday School Superintendent. She was also a member of the WV Baptist Quartet Convention and she sang with the United Baptist Singers for 55 years. Bertha was also known as The World's Best Cook and a #1 West Virginia Mountaineer fan.
Bertha is survived by her husband Judson Wallace, daughter Charlotte "Linda" Wallace, Donald White who she loved like a brother, and sister-in-law Shirley White all of Kimberly, WV. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
A homegoing service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday August 23, at Brookside Ministries, Mt. Carbon, WV with Rev. Richard Bullard officiating. The viewing will be held at noon.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary's Hospital and the HealthNet Aeromedical.
