Betty Nuckols Abshire of Oak Hill, WV died January 27,2024 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. She was born November 10, 1927, to parents Walter Morton and Mae Morton Owens.
Proceeded in her death is her husband Jack Nuckols, brother Walter Morton, and Billie Morton, sisters Ella Morton, Margaret Whitlock, children Jimmy Bounds, Richard Bounds, and Brenda Franklin, grandchildren Sandi, Alera and Gabriel.
Left to cherish her memories are children PR (Judy) Bounds of West Seneca, SC, Karen (Houston) Miller of Fayetteville, Sharon (Larry) Simmons of Greenville SC. Kathy Lilly of Oak Hill, John (Becky) Nuckols of Boomer. Sister Ruth Beard of Belle, 26 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Plateau Medical Center ICU for taking good care of our mother during her difficult stay.
Service will be held at O’Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery at 6:00pm on Friday, February 2, 2024, with Pastor Mark Strickland officiating. Friends may call from 5:00pm until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later time. O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery is in charge of arrangements.
