Betty Joe Bainbridge age 83 of Powellton died December 31, 2014. She was born March 20, 1931 at Cannelton and she was the last surviving child of the thirteen children of Pearl and Bessie Green Nickoson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Frank Bainbridge and her son James Shaffer.

Betty was a member and was baptized in the Adamsville Road Church of God in Elkart, Indiana.

Surviving: daughters Ruth Ann McLarney and her husband John of Elkhart, IN and Drema Sue Brand and her husband Mark of Charleston; sons Lawson H. "Bo" Shaffer of Powellton and Ronald E. Shaffer of Powellton; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Service will be held 1:00 PM on Monday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Greg Francis officiating. Burial will follow in Landy Dunn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
