Obituary for Billy Gene Cooper

Billy Gene Cooper age 66 of Cannelton went home to Glory, Saturday June 18, 2016. Billy Gene was born September 17, 1949 at Carbondale and he was the son of the late Alice Cooper and the late Ralph Hooper. He was also preceded in death by his brother Steve Cooper.
Billy accepted Christ at an early age and he was an active member of Eagle Central Baptist Church. He was employed at Montgomery General Elderly Care.

He leaves to mourn his wife Sandra Jones-Cooper, "Honey as he belovedly referred to her"; children Endora "Peach" Cooper, Angela Ann Cooper, Preston "PJ" Jones, Daunte Copeland, Tierra Copeland and William Eugene "Junior" Cooper; siblings Donald Cooper of Buffalo, NY, Gwendolyn Hendrix and husband Carl of Buffalo, NY, Jeanette Jenkins and husband Jessie of Neptune NJ, Jeanetta of Ocean, NJ. and Peggy of Tampa, FL; special brothe Alphonso Hooper and wife Sylvia of Columbus and special cousin Pearl Taylor; three grandchildren Keshia, Kyron and Merissa and 1 great-grandchild Khalil.

He is gone but not forgotten.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Eagle Central Baptist Church with Bishop Isaac Wood, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park at Ingram Branch, WV. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to service on Friday.
