Obituary for Carlton Vernard Crowder Sr.
Carlton Vernard Crowder Sr. age 87 of Deep Water was born to the late Aurelia and Gustava Crowder. Carlton resided on the winding gulf of Davy, WV McDowell County. He was educated up to the ninth grade when he went into the coal mines to work at the early age of 15.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary B. Crowder and two sons, Paul Crowder and Nathaniel Wright, along with four brothers and four sisters.
Left to cherish his memories are his three daughters; June Ward, Phyllis Cruz and Darlene Sanchez. Two sons; Carlton V. Crowder Jr., and Ross Crowder. One brother, Thomas Crowder Sr., and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11AM to 2PM on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, WV. Burial rites will follow at Meadow Haven Memorial Park at Ingram Brance with Dr. Emmett Patterson officiating.
