Obituary for Christina Moschino

Christina "Chris" Moschino, 85, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully, at home on the morning of October 31, 2013. She was born on July 11, 1928, in Johnston City, Ill., and was the daughter of the late Teresa Eandi and Joseph Mamino. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Delfino "Red" Moschino; daughter, Donna Elaine; son, Del Allen; and niece, Karen Dunning.

She was very active in her early years and was a charter member of the Court St. Ann #1606 of the Catholic Daughters of Americas, at the local and state levels. She held many offices on both levels including regent and treasurer. She was a member of Immaculate Conception/St. Anthony Shrine Catholic Church, Montgomery and Boomer. She was retired from College Drug Store, Montgomery, after 35 plus years of service.

Surviving children, Terry White and her husband, John of Mt. Nebo, Christy Ramsey and her husband, Tom of Montgomery, Gary Moschino and his wife, Brenda of Boomer; grandchildren, Nikki Williams and her husband, Tim "Buck" of Boomer, Dr. Cassie Ortiz and husband, Jeremy of Oak Hill, Brandon Moschino of Montgomery, and Joshua Moschino of Boomer; great-grandchildren, Alex, Devin and Anthony Williams of Boomer; sister, Madaline Dunning and her husband, Bill of Herrin, Ill.; special sister-in-law, Palmina Moschino of Falls View; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, at St. Anthony Shrine Catholic Church, Boomer, with Father Mark Gallipeau as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, where a Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

The family would like to thank her caregivers Gladys Williams and Evelyn Prince and Hospice Care of Charleston for their wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hubbard Hospice House, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W, Charleston, W.Va., 25321 or the Catholic Daughters at Immaculate Conception/St. Anthony's Parish in Montgomery, WV 25136.
