Clyde Douglas King Sr, age 75 of Gallagher, passed away Sunday August 7, 2011 at home. He was born February 1, 1936 in Prosperity and was the son late Homer and Della Mae Coulter King. He was also preceded in death by his wife Christine and a daughter Krista Kay King.
He was a disabled US Army veteran. He was a former auto body shop owner having serviced the upper Kanawha Valley for 32 years until his retirement in 2,000.
Clyde is survived by his children; Della Hauck of Iowa, Clyde Douglas King Jr. and his wife Michele of Pratt, Lee King of Gallagher, Tammy King of Gallager and Jeff King and his wife Manda of Gallagher; brothers Carl King of Livingston, Ralph King of Whittaker and Jimmy King of Pratt; sisters Violet Beverly of New York and Ester Bradley of Charleston, SC; grandchildren Jamie, Terry, Kristi and Brandi; great-grandchildren PaPa’s man Jayden and Rylan.
Service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Jim “Jammer” Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
