Obituary for Coach Marshall Kay Webb

Coach Marshall Kay Webb age 84 of Smithers passed away August 15, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born November 18, 1929 at Glen Ferris and was the son of the late William and Nancy L. Thompson Webb. He was also preceded in death by his brother William Webb Jr.

He was a retired teacher and basketball coach from Gauley Bridge High School with 31 years of service. He was a member of the St. Anthony's Shrine/Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish of Boomer and Montgomery. He was Co owner of Frank's Pizza in Montgomery and he was a veteran of the US Army.

Surviving: wife Rosie Bree Webb; children Carol Johnson and her husband Forrest "Buddy" of Bristol, VA, John Marshall Webb of
Charlton Heights and Todd William Webb of Smithers; brother Dan Webb of California; sister Carole Jean Santoro and her husband of Frank of Hampstead, NC; sister-in-law Frances Webb of South Carolina; grandchildren Brian Johnson and his wife Tara, Talya Barnes, Kaitlyn Jones, Daniel "DJ" Fragle and Ashley Milgram; great-grandchildren Hunter, Hailey, Isabella, Julien, Alexander and Myiah and many loving nieces and nephews which he loved. Coach's family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Montgomery General Elderly Care and also thanks to the staff of Montgomery General Hospital and CAMC General and Memorial for their wonderful care.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Anthony's Shrine Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Gallipeau and Fr. Leon Alexander as Con-Celebrants. Entombment will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Friends may call on Monday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery where a Christian Wake Service will be held at
