Obituary for Cosetta June Hall

Our beautiful angel, Cosetta June Green Petry Hall of Shrewsbury entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 5, 2014 surrounded by loved ones. We are left with peace and mind knowing she seized everyday, left the world a better more interesting place and lived a life filled with love.

June was born to the late Estel G. Green and Mabel F. Harper Green. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Petry, Daughter Robin S. Petry, Brothers Kenneth Green, John Green, Carlos Green, Carson Green, Charles Green, Cleadeth Green, sister Hester Green Stanley, and Great Grandson Patrick Petry.

She is survived by her Husband Donald "Duke" Hall. Children Ritchie L. Petry (Diane), Michael E. Petry (Tammy), Peggy S. Petry Harvey (Richard Chandler), Rickey "Nickey" A. Petry, Tamra R. Petry Green (Terry). Brother Dowell Green. Step son Wesley Hall and Step daughter Windi Hall; grandchildren: Ritchie (Kelly) Petry, Melissa Petry (Robert Thompson), Nathan Harvey (Becky), Jessica Harvey Martin (Mandy Fowler), Michelle "Shelly" Petry, Michael "Mikey" Petry, Branden Green (Elisha), Thomas Petry, Tiffany Petry; and eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

June loved the Charleston Moose Lodge #1444, she also loved country music and to dance. She frequently accompanied her husband, under the artist name of Donnie Duke through West Virginia and Nashville, TN; she lived an exciting and wholesome life through her journeys with anyone and everyone she met. June was an honorary member of the ROPE association, and associated with many country music and their families such as Freddie, Hart, Jack Greene, Tom T. Hall, Carl Perkins, Little Jimmy Dickens, Jim Ed Brown, Connie Smith, Margo Smith, Billy Walker, George Hamilton IV, The Dukes of Hazzard Troop and also many local band including, Country Touch, Rowdy Bunch, The Appalachian Highwaymen, Hillbilly Heaven, Country Gold and many others. She was a magnet of personality and charm with everyone she met and will surely be missed by everyone she had the pleasure of meeting.

The family would like to give special thanks to the The Greater Charleston Dialysis Center of South Charleston.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, June 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. at O'Dell Funeral Home of Montgomery.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Sunday, June 8,at 2 p.m. at O'Dell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt Hope "Green" Cemetery.
