Obituary for Deborah Lou Bostic

Deborah Lou Bostic
Deborah (Dee) Bostic, 72, of Marmet went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Hubbard Hospice House, surrounded by her family.

Dee was born September 6, 1951 in Charleston, WV to Cecil and Arlene Elkins. She graduated from East Bank High School in 1969. She was the former owner and operator of The Hair Scene in Marmet and retired in 2013 from J.C. Penny.

Dee fought a courageous battle during her short illness and was extremely brave in her fight. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and child of God. She was a proud East Bank graduate and an avid WVU fan. Dee had a tremendous love for her family and always showed love in her heart for anyone she met. Anyone who knew or met her would know that God is gaining a great one! Dee’s kindness, encouragement and fighting spirit will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Charles (Dutch) Bostic; daughter, Brandi (Scott) Shuler of Dixie; grandchildren, Timothy II and Amelia; sisters, Karen (Don) Ellis of Murrells Inlet, SC; Christi (Jim) Searls of Belle; Kim (Tom) Stewart of Charleston; brothers-in-law Harry (Linda) Bostic of Dry Branch; Curt Bostic of Dry Branch and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Service will be held at O’Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery, WV. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 11-12 noon. Service will immediately follow at 12 noon, with Rev. Steve Arden officiating. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, WV.

A special thank you to all who assisted in Dee’s care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to charities in honor of her. Expressions can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
