Obituary for Della Mae Bell

Della Mae Bell age 94 years young of Smithers died April 24, 2012 at home. She was born August 31, 1917 at Cannelton and was the daughter of the late James Walter and Dolly Johnson Ozment. She was also preceded in death by her husband James E. Bell and sons Robert Lee Bell and Sammy Morris her brother James Walter Ozment Jr. and a sister Bobby Lee Zickafoose.
Della played piano for Smithers Church of Christ for 50 years and an active member in the church for 57 years. She was a girl scout leader and a cub scout leader. Della had a great love for carpentry and she remodeled her house all the time. Bowling, cooking, gardening and crocheting were her other hobbies.
She was the best Mom and MaMa ever and she will be greatly missed by her family.
Surviving: daughters Carolyn Sue Treadway of Smithers and Jennifer Bell Yakovsky and her husband Michael of Birmingham, AL; sister Gerry Lou Ozment Conner of New Jersey; grandchildren Deborah Doss and her husband Vernon, David Wills and his wife Bonnie, Dewayne Wills and his wife Deanna, Scott Wills and his wife Angela, Jim Wills and his wife Carly, James, Shad Morris and his wife Tracey and Angela Bell and John and Carrie Harvey and Paul; great grandchildren Christopher Angel and his wife Kendra, Tiffany Angel, Tarrah, Selah, Elikah, Josie Fay, Nathan, Katie, Davie, James, Krislyn, Ashleigh, Presley, Danny, Victoria, Molly, Chelsie, Jorden, Javin and Jersey; great-great grandchildren Jayden, Hayley, Skylar and Cody.
A special THANK you to Hospice, especially Patsy and Sandy. Thanks also to Dr. Brihiud for taking such good care of her and expecially thanks to Kitty Vanmeter for all her help.
Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2012 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Kim Kirby and Rev. Dewayne Wills officiating.
