Donald Ray Akers of Kimberly, WV. earned his wings on Nov. 2nd 2013 at
the Hubbard House with the loving family that he wanted by his side,
after a courageous battle of lung cancer. Hewas born January 10th, 1949, in
Kimberly.

Donald lived life to the fullest and lived it his way. He was a loving
and compassionate man. He loved riding his 4 wheeler and trucks,
all over the mountains. Donald was a one of a kind man to all who had the
privilege to know him.

Proceeded in death by parents, Ed and Jewell Akers; Grandson Cody;
sisters Susie Kelly and Karen Hunt;. Johnny Akers and Thomas "Bo" Akers.
Donald was of Christian faith. Left to cherish him is his loving wife and
Best Friend Lois "Weegie" Akers. To carry on his legacy are daughter
Andrea; son's Kenneth and Michael; loving brother Tony Akers and wife Debbie; Sisters Charlene Bird, Gail Spears and Robin (Ronnie) Walker. Many Special Nieces and Nephews and countless friends.

The Family would like to Thank Dr. Linda White, Dr. Suzanne Cole, Casey
Breedlove, Home Health team Eva and Gary. Hubbard House Nurses who
cared for him on his final days.

Special Thanks to our Pastor Bill Smith for his devotion to Donald
during his illness.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at O'Dell Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m.
