Eddie Franklin Parker 58 of Powellton, went home to be with the Lord July 19, 2013. He was born October 21, 1954 in Smithers and was the son of Frank Parker of Powellton and the late Glenna Jean Parker. He was also preceded in death by his son Keith Parker and daughter Candice Parker.

He was a retired Electrician and Coal Miner from Armco Steel and a member of the UMWA. He attended Kimberly Church of God. He was a devoted Father and Grandfather.

Surviving, in addition to his father, are is wife Pamela Parker ; daughter Amanda and husband Shannon Prince of Fayetteville; son Matthew Parker of Powellton; brother Freddie and wife Cora Parker of Powellton; sisters, Tenna and husband David Gray of Montgomery, Mary and husband Skip Hughes of Proctorville, OH, and Annette and husband Tim Bennett of Belle; grandchildren Alyssa Dawn Stewart, Ashton Brooke Prince, and Colton Auburn Prince.

Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Pastor Bill Smith and Rev. Roger Comer officiating. He will be laid to rest by his son, daughter, and mother in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
