Obituary for Elder Paulette Larcell Lewis

At the age of 66 Elder Paulette Larcell Lewis peacefully went to be with the Lord at her home on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Paulette Larcell Lewis was born to Larcell Lewis-Terry on November 24, 1953. She received her diploma from Montgomery High School in 1971. She furthered her education at the Charleston Beauty Academy, receiving her cosmetology license. She was an entrepreneur, opening her own salon affectionately named Lette’s Beauty Shop.

Paulette was very devoted and active in her church. She faithfully served in the women’s ministry as president, call to worship leader, choir member, and assisted wherever there was a need. She became an elder at the Temple of Faith Ministries in Cross Lanes, WV under the leadership of Bishop T. D. Jakes. When her health began fading, she started attending Living Waters Family Worship Center in Montgomery, WV with her family.

Paulette married her high school sweetheart Fredrick D. Wallace. After 19 years the marriage ended but the friendship did not. From this union came their greatest joy; their two beautiful daughters Tiffany (Pooka) R. Wallace and Nina C. Wallace, and one granddaughter Nia C. Wallace whom she helped raised. They are left to mourn her along with her nephew Tyler C. Lewis.

Also left to mourn Paulette are her loving sisters Judy Terry, Renee Lewis, Sylvia Sanders (John Sanders), Diane Lewis, her only Aunt Christine Lewis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she cherished.

Paulette was preceded in death by her grandparents Mary and John Lewis. Her mother Larcell Lewis-Terry, and her brothers Watson Terry Jr., Sterling Terry, Larry Lewis, Jeffrey Lewis, and Beechie Lewis.

Service will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday at Brookside Ministries, Mt. Carbon, with Pastor Terrance Hamm officiating. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call from 11AM till time of service at the church on Thursday. O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery is in charge of arrangements.
