Gary A. Perry, age 70, of Powellton died April 18 at home. He was born December 13, 1938 in Hugheston and was the son of the late Albert F. and Edith May Wright Perry.
He was a retired miner and member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Surviving are Wife Emma Lee Perry; children Christopher Perry of Smithers, Tracy Perry of Powellton, Lisa Perry/Neal of Boomer and Sarah Perry of Ocala, Fl; brother Albert Perry of Raleigh, NC; sister Noma Lockman of Deep Water; grandchildren Chris “CJ” Perry, Jessica Neal, Christina Neal, Tagen Stover, Garrett Young and Felica Perry.
Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday April 22, 2009 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with the Rev. Greg Francis officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
