Gary D. Rowe age 66, long time resident of Mount Carbon died Wednesday June 10, 2009 after a short illness.
Gary was a retired coal miner of 20 years and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He was owner/operator of R & R Automotive iin Carbon for 22 years.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Janet L. Rowe; grand-daughter Ursula Angel, grand-sons Garren Rowe, Asa Rowe, D.J. Parness, Matt Parness and grand-daughter Nea Rowe of Charleston. Daughters Vickie O’Quinn of Durham, NC., Valerie Angel of East Bank and son Gary A. Rowe of Mount Carbon; special grandsons Bryson, Spencer and Britt Armentrout.
Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call from 6 until 8 on Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
