George T. “Ted “ Rowe age 94 of Powellton died August 27, 2009 in Montgomery General Hospital. He was born May 27, 1915 and was the son of the late Louis and Elizabeth Adkins Rowe. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Martha Rowe.
He was a retired coal miner and retired from Long Airdox in Oak Hill. He was also a member of the UMWA.
Surviving: wife Jo Ellen; children Pat White, Mike Rowe, Frank”Chop” Rowe Linda Storer and Charles Rowe; John Young, Donald Young, Bobby Young, Becky Young; sister Margaret Queen; 28 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Greg Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Friends may call from 6 until 9 on Friday at the funeral home.
