Greta Pridemore age 78, of South Charleston passed away on June 21, 2012 at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston, after a long illness.
She was born August 4, 1933 in Charleston. She was the daughter of the late Ray E & Stella Keffer.
She spent more that 40 years of employment with the state of WV & Georgia. She loved her family, gardening and playing bridge with friends as well as membership in two federated women’s clubs.
She was preceded in death by James T. Pridemore, son Thomas Ray, daughter Diana Lynn and son in law Paul G. Lepp.
Her survivors include her daughter Nancy Lepp (companion Rick Fisher), sister Nina Watson, brother in law Robert E. Watson, her cousin and very dear friend Thelma Jones and beloved nieces and nephews and adored cats.
To quote C.W. Leadbeater “To Those Who Mourn. For that is the real truth. Man is a soul and has a body. The body is not the man, it is only the clothing of the man. What you call death is the laying aside of a worn-out garment, and it is no more the end of the man than it is the end of you when you remove your coat. Therefore you have not lost your friends, you have only last sight of the cloak in which you were accustomed to see him. The cloak is gone, but the man who wore it is not, surely it is the man that you love and not the garmet”.
She will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the Hubbard Hospice House West, for the wonderful comfort and care she received there in her final days. Special thanks to Nancy’s very dear friends for their love and support.
Per Greta’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Her wishes were for her family and friends to have a private gathering at a later date in order to celebrate her life.
O’Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery will be in charge of the cremation.
