Obituary for Hazel McKown Roberts
Hazel McKown Roberts age 94 of Mt. Carbon died March 2, 2015. She was born April 21, 1920 in Roane County, WV and she was the daughter of the late Jefferson and Mary Mullins Thompson. Also preceding her in death is her first husband and father of her children Roby McKown and her second husband Robert Roberts; daughter Louetta Lewis, a son Stanley McKown, granddaughter Lisa Roy and a great granddaughter Sherri Bennett.
Surviving are her children; Shirley Welch of Powellton, Janet Coleman of Smithers, Marjorie Morrison of Jane Lew, Jean Blake and her husband Roger of London, Wilma McKown of Powellton, Virgil McKown and his wife Lynn of Falls View and Randall McKown and his wife Margie of Charlotte,NC; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday March 7, 2015 at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Joe Darlington officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
