Obituary for Hazel LaVonne Rose

Our most precious and beloved mother, Hazel LaVonne Coffman Rose passed away peacefully in her chair on the evening of April 1, 2016 at Montgomery Rehab and Elderly Care Nursing Home.
Her husband of 58 years passed away in 2007.

LaVonne was born in Braxton County, WV on October 27, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Emory and Mabel Tinnel Coffman. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Howard, Claude, Leonard and Eugene Coffman; sister Lenore Barchowski and one granddaughter Morgan Rose.

Surviving are her children Mary Richmond and her husband Claude of Kimberly, Michael Rose and his wife Vicki of St. Albans, Timothy Rose and his wife Gretchen of Charleston and the joy of her life Elisa Rose of Kimberly. She had 4 loving grandchildren Jeremy Richmond and his wife Beverly of Oak Hill, Michele Porter and her husband Dean of Calif., Travis Rose and his wife Jill of Tornado and Baylee Rose of Charleston; 5 great grandchildren; sisters Lemoine Hogan of Mooresville, NC and Patty Matheny of Abington, MD; brothers Flavy Dale "Pete" Coffman and Bernard Coffman. She also has several loving nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends.

Service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Jeff Floyd officiating. Entombment will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the Montgomery General Elderly Care and Dr. Samir Atassi and Dr. Modi for all the help and loving care that was given to our mother.
