Obituary for Hershel Ray Wiley

Hershel Ray Wiley age 93 of Whittaker, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2017 at Montgomery Elderly Care Center. He was born March 16, 1923 in Burnwell, WV on Paint Creek. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cleo Wiley, and his daughter Judy Wiley Dunaway.

Hershel was a member of Burnwell Chruch of the Nazarene and he was a veteran of World War II, serving over eight years in the Army Air Force as an airplane armorer gunner. He was retired from WV American Water.

Hershel is survived by his children, David and wife Maritza Wiley of Hedgesville, WV, Dale Virginia McBrayer and her husband John of Whittaker, Donny Wiley and his wife Jo of Whittaker and Jason Wiley and his wife Nikie of Standard; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a loving extended family of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM with Pastor Gary Tincher officiating. Burial will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with military honors at Montgomery Memorial Park, London. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
