Homer Doyle Skidmore 84, of Boonesborough, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 20, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Bailey and Gladys Skidmore, sisters Sheila Skidmore and Sharon Ball. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Martha (Daisy) Skidmore of 59 years, his daughter Angela (Jeff) Perry of Boonesborough, his son Dale (Debbie) Skidmore of Timberville, VA; Five grandchildren, Bailey Skidmore, Tanner Skidmore, Ryan Perry, Travis Perry, Gracie Skidmore. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, and Gardening along with watching sports. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Long Airdox as a welder for 20 years and retired from Montgomery General Hospital as a Master Plumer with 20 years of service. He attended Glen Ferris Apostolic church for 28 years. The family would like to thank the staff of CAMC Memorial 2 West and the Hospice Care at CAMC Memorial for their care and dedication. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 2PM, visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at O’Dell Funeral Home.
