Obituary for Jackie Lee Danberry

Jackie Lee  Danberry
Jackie Lee Danberry passed away on January 31st in Charleston, West Virginia. Jackie was born on October 24, 1957, to Melvin Jack Danberry and Dairlea Morris Danberry.

He is survived by his wife Vi, three sons Lee Danberry (children Elizabeth and Jack), Darrell Pritt (wife Beverly, children Hailey, Mary, Geneva, William), Shenan Hanshaw (partner Jennifer, children Jarett and Jayden), and two daughters Tonia Tawes (husband Kenneth, children Gracin Young, and Bryce) and Misty Hanshaw (son Preston). In addition, Jackie is survived by his sisters.Peggy Giacomo (children Sharon and Nick) and Donna Moschino (husband Jim, children Tara and Tony). Jackie is also survived by a host.of great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Jackie was proceeded in death.
by his father and mother Melvin and Dairlea Danberry.

Jackie found great joy in spending his time during the summer and fall months at Summersville Lake Battle Run camping. Jackie cherished his time with his loved ones. He often could be found cooking and preparing meals for his family; he has been known to give individual cooking lessons to anyone who wanted to learn. He was most famous for his biscuits and cornbread. Jackie enjoyed fishing and was a fan of the West Virginia University football team. Jackie was a member of the Carbondale Baptist Church. Jackie was a West Virginia coal miner and a proud member of the UMWA.

Jackie’s celebration of life will be held at Carbondale Baptist Church and the date will be announced in the near future. Please be patient for preparations.
