Obituary for James Pearl Shaffer
James Pearl Shaffer age 60 of Powellton died June 19, 2013. He was born November 28, 1952 in Smithers and was the son of Betty Bainbridge of Powellton and the late Lawson A. Shaffer.
He was a coal truck driver and he was a veteran of the US Navy.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his sisters Ruth Ann McLarney and her husband John of Elkhart, IN, Dreama Sue Brand and her husband Mark of Charleston, Vickie Leonhardt and her husband Bob of Columbus, OH and Laura Kiser and her husband Andy of Powellton; brothers Lawson H. Shaffer and his wife Cindy of Powellton, Ronald E. Shaffer of Powellton and Frank T. Bainbridge and his wife Wendy of Gauley Bridge and many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the CCU at CAMC Memorial for their wonderful and loving care.
Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Greg Frances officiating. Burial will follow in Dunn Cemetery at Montgomery. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
