Obituary for Jerry D. Perdue Sr.

Jerry D. Perdue Sr. age 68 of Montgomery passed away suddenly on November 23, 2009. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles. He was retired from CSX Railroad and was a former officer with the Montgomery Police Department.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Elsie Perdue, sisters Patsy Underwood, Dixie Yates and Brenda Zombar, brother Rick Perdue and sister-in-law Janey Perdue.
Surviving is his wife of 48 years Patricia Perdue; daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Rodney Leake of Powellton; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Elizabeth Perdue of Powellton; grandsons George Rodney Leake Jr of Powellton and his “best buddy” Tanner Perdue of Powellton; brother and sisters-in-law Fred Perdue Jr. and Linda of Mt. Carbon, Bo and Mary Perdue of Mt. Carbon, Rodney Perdue of Powellton and Charlie Perdue of Kimberly; sisters and brothers-in-law Donna and Dave Henry of Millington, TN, Bonnie and Gary Dempsey of Grand Rapids, MI, Sherry and Gary Burnside of Kincaid and Trudy and Joe Atha of Kimberly.
Jerry was an avid Mountaineer Fan and a blessing to all those that knew him. He will greatly missed.
Funeral service will be held at 7:30 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Greg Francis officiating. Friends may call from 6 PM until time of service. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com.
