Jillian Leigh DiVita age 23 of Shrewsbury went to be with her heavenly Father on May 23, 2009. She was born May 15, 1986 in Charleston and she is the daughter of Jimmy and Penny DiVita of Shrewsbury. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers June Vandall and Betty DiVita.
She was a student at the University of Charleston majoring in Biology with plans of attending medical school. She was a 2004 honor graduate of Riverside High School and a member of the Belle Church of the Nazarene.
She had a special closeness with her grandfather Preston Vandall and spent hours caring for him.
In addition to her parents Jill is survived by her sisters Jennifer DiVita of Charleston and Jordan DiVita of Shrewsbury; her boyfriend Ben Sampson, her grandparents, Raymond Preston Vandall and Frances and Wanda Divita; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Pastor Mark Green officiating. Entombment will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Friends may call from 6 until 8 on Tuesday at the funeral home.
