Obituary for Joe Gagich

Joe Gagich age 84 of Cedar Grove passed away at home on April 24, 2019. He was born January 17, 1935 in Wheelwright, Kentucky and was the son of the late Pete and Mary Slodie Gagich. He was also preceded in death by brothers Mike, Danny, Alec, George and sister Zorka and also a special life long friend Monk Johnson.
He was a retired coal miner and he was an avid fisherman and hunter. Joe loved shooting pool as a hobby and was known to be the best shot in our area.
Surviving is his wife of 35 years Donna Arthur Gagich; son Alexander of Glasgow; daughter Joanna Allman (Chuck) of Glasgow; sisters Helen, Patty, Milly, Gwinn and twin sister Joanna; brothers Paul, Sam and Nick Gagich and two life long buddies Shirley Ray Carpenter and Donald Lyons; grandchildren Casey Allman and Tamra Gogich and a very special granddaughter (Niece) Kyley Hackworth Bell who brought many smiles to his heart. Joe was loved by many friends in his community and will be missed greatly especially by his and Kyley’s fur baby Snuggles.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Pastor Gary Tucker officiating. Per his request there will not be a viewing. Thanks to O’Dell Funeral Home where expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
