Joel Thomas “JT” Leftwich age 89 of Montgomery died September 20, 2011 at Hubbard Hospice House. He was born November 16, 1921 in Montgomery and was the son of the late Sterling William and Mary Lillian Taylor Leftwich. He was also preceded in death by his brother Sterling Leftwich Jr.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montgomery and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was retired from Power Piping of Pittsburgh, PA. He was also a US Army Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his brother Bob Leftwich of Montgomery; sisters Betty Goldsmith of Charleston and Patricia Oliverio and her husband Frank of Cornilh, MISS; several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. John Rice as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens at Cross Lanes.
