Obituary for Jonathan U. See

Jonathan U. See, 36, of Hansford passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Monday, May 6, 2013, at CAMC Memorial. He was born in Kendallville, IN, on February 27, 1977, and was the only son of John and Brenda See of Hansford. He was a loving, caring father to his son, Jonathan See, Jr. and his step-son, Christopher Medford. In addition to his parents and sans he is survived by his sister Sheri Spainhour (Richard) of Fairlawn, OH, and his loving fiancée, Tiffany Dawn Medford of Charleston, WV. Also surviving are two nephews who worshiped him, Zachary and James Spainhour. He will also be sadly missed by his biological Father, David (Carolyn) See of Handley. Jonathan also had many good friends during his life and a large and loving extended family including aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him.
He enjoyed coaching at W.T. Elswick baseball field in Hansford for the little league teams. He coached his son, Jonathan's, teams for many years and really enjoyed helping all the kids. Many of his son's friends became very important to him, and he tried to help them with any problem they had. Jonathan loved watching sports, especially WVU football and NASCAR. He also enjoyed large family and/or friend gatherings, which were often done at his parent's home in Hansford. He loved his family and friends dearly. Jonathan was a compassionate and loving person with a big heart. Our lives will forever be changed without his big smiles, and large hugs.
Special thanks go to the Emergency Room personnel at CAMC Memorial Hospital and especially Dr. Steve McCormick and his staff for their help and compassion during this trying time.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2013, at O'Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery, WV, with Reverend Stan Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV. Friends may call on Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 6:00-9:00 pm at O'Dell Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
